Julie is the mother of two Montessori educated children. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Utah and a Masters of Arts in Education – Supervision and Administration from the University of Phoenix. Her Doctoral program begins in January of 2008. In addition, she has attended over 20 trainings ranging from, Special Education Law to Leadership in Technology. She has also attended the Center for Montessori Teacher Education and holds a certification in Montessori School Administration.

Krista has an extensive background in language and literature in education which includes Project Read training, Resiliency through Reading, and emphasis work in childhood language development. In 2000, Krista’s exemplary teaching abilities were recognized when she was a recipient of the prestigious Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award. Currently she is working on her Master’s Degree in Curriculum Development at Ottawa University.

Col Wright was previously the Director of Staff for the Arizona Air National Guard. She is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and holds Masters Degrees in both Business Administration and Public Administration. She and her husband Curt have two children at Montessori Academy. In her off time, she enjoys reading, working out and spending time with her children.

Ken has lived in South Scottsdale since childhood, and is the father of two Montessori Academy students. He graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Psychology, is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and received his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law. During his free time he enjoys wilderness activities including canyoneering, climbing, hiking, and traditional archery.

Keri is a Scottsdale native and mother of one Montessori Academy student. She holds a B.S. degree from Northern Arizona University in Speech Pathology/Audiology and served 12 years in the Air National Guard as an Emergency Medical Technician. She has worked in the healthcare industry as an adult educator for 20 years focusing on process improvement and system implementations. In her free time she enjoys traveling with her family in their “antique” motor home, running 5k races, working out at the gym and going to Payson or the beach as often as possible.

Originally from Los Angeles, California, Mike graduated with a degree in Finance as well as Real Estate from California State University, Northridge. He is currently a Senior Managing Director within the CB Richard Ellis, Inc. Valuation and Advisory Group. He is a designated member of the Appraisal Institute as well as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He and his wife have four Montessori Academy students.

Michelle is the mother of 2 Montessori Academy students. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interpersonal Communications from Arizona State University. She currently serves Arizona’s vast Small Business Community as a supporter and advocate through her role at the Arizona Small Business Association. In her spare time she enjoys crafting and spending time with her family.

Dr. Wood is the father of two Montessori Academy students. He holds Bachelors and Masters degrees from Arizona State University, another Masters and a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. A former professor of Philosophy, Computer Science, and Law, and founder and CTO of an Internet Service provider, Dr. Wood has also served as Director of Research and Development for a major on-line catalog retailer. His interests in Philosophy and Computer Science center on logic and the philosophy of psychology, concept acquisition, and autonomous learning systems.

Maegan is the mother of three Montessori Academy students. She holds a 6-12 teaching credential in Montessori Education and is a certified EMT. She has been teaching for twelve years in a Montessori classroom. In her free time she enjoys traveling to rodeos with her family and the outdoors.

Justin is a Phoenix native who graduated magna cum laude from ASU with a BA in English. In addition to his teaching experience, he has professional experience as a freelance journalist and proof reader. During his free time, he enjoys writing fiction.
